During the opening plenary of the conference, Kavita Sinha, Director of the Green Climate Fund's Private Sector Facility, made an exciting announcement. Social Infra Ventures (SIV), in collaboration with Attijariwafa Bank, has secured a Project Preparation Facility grant amounting to an impressive USD 1.24 million,  which paves theway for a EUR22 million investment from GCF in SIV. What makes this achievement particularly groundbreaking is that it signifies the first-ever partnership between the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Attijariwafa Bank, a prominent institution in Morocco, thus forging an innovative alliance. 🤝

Ms. Sinha highlighted the astonishing speed with which this grant was approved, clocking in at less than six months. This remarkable timeline serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication and shared vision of all parties involved. 🚀
